Its not quite clear to me what classes will be featured in Star Trek Online. To be honest, I dont even know the difference between classes and races. I really like these online games, but I find them very complicated. I hope Ill learn a few things before Star Trek Online has been released, because for old times sake Im eagerly expecting it.

Well, look here: the meaning of races is similar to the one in ordinary life. For example, in Star Trek Online there will be 7 races, and among them human race. So, the term race refers to a kind of species since, as you probably know, there are various creatures in fantasy games, such as dwarves, dragons, ogres etc. The class has to do with a level of your skill. It can sometimes be similar to the profession. In Star Trek Online, at least Ive heard so, there will be following classes: flight control, engineering, security, medical and science. So, in this case this probably refers to the whole class of a particular profession. I hope I made things at least a bit clearer to you.
