The Realpoor community seems to know more shit about tech. than any other community, anywhere, so this seems like a good place to post this question:
I just won a Blackberry 7130e (Courtesy of Verizon Wireless). I guess it's a very nice phone, and I'd love to use it over the PoS $20 phone I'm currently using, however, I'm currently with Sprint. Are all phones interchangeable, or do certain companies only roll with certain models?

almost all are locked in with a certain company, but some phones you can "unlock". check howardforums for more info. You can prolly get it done there. or your phone may already be (see if it has a providers logo on the box.

Sprint will not register a phone that was not purchased from them, or manufactured for thier service, no exceptions.
They stand by this policy to reduce support costs for customers with issues from a non branded phones calling in for support.
Sucks for sprint customers.

Sorry I didn't see he got it from Verizon. Verizon and Sprint have the same policy towards phones. Read above.

With SBC buying AT&T and now buying Pac Bell youll probably want to end up in the AT&T family (which will now own cingular as well). The monopoly returneth!
