How can I Catch the vets in Eve Online? I think that this is my mission in this game and I am not going to have piece of my mind until I get as much as I can. I know that this is going to be hard, but there has got to be a way to make this happen for me. Do you know what I need to do?

Catch the vets in Eve Online is something that is not as easy as it might seem at the beginning. I think that you should be prepared for some long working hours if you still think that this is something that you should be concentrated at. I think that you have a big hear and a warrior one to be more precise, but I think that you should think a little bit longer before you decide that this is what you really want to be dong till the rest of your game life. I can connect to some friends of mine who are similar to you and you can exchange your experiences.

Because of the way the EVE system works, beating older players is done situationaly - if you have the right ship at the right time, you may be able to pull off a kill.
Alternatively, just bring a bunch of buddies and take 'em by surprise - I got a Navy Apoc kill this way.

you can buy an older character, or simply keep working towards bigger better ships, vets only have lots of skill points doesnt mean they have lots of skill

UNless the vets quit playing or give up on training skills you won't catch up to them. (Unless their attributes are just complete shit) and even then it would take years and years. As long as you are both moving forward, you cant catch up. :\

I have a char that is 2003/7 month and it only has about 1 million skill points.
That is as much skill as you get when you first create your char. Although I have never tried to PVP vs another noob that has same skills or more, I would probably kill him due to my greater game experience.

Even the players with the greatest skills have to travel around in a weak ship from time to time... Why not become a Shuttle-destroyer?

The way EVE works, you will never have as many skill points as the veteran players. However, you don't need to have more skill points total, you just need to have all the right skill points in all the right places.

The best you can do is train all your learning skills up first. Over the course of a couple years it is possible to get a little closer to the older players skill points totals so long as they didnt train all of thier learning skills up. Another thing to remember is that although it may say they started in 09 of 2003 it is possible that they got podded a couple times along the way without a proper clone which can account for HUGE skill point losses.
