What chances do the casual gamer have in Eve Online? I am one of many players who are just playing the game to kill the time. I never became passionate gamer. I want to play this game, and I know that in the game, the passionate gamers rule. I just want to kill some free time, and I do not want to be disappointed with the game-play. Have I any chance to have some fun?

It is very hard to say such a thing. Casual gamers are always prime targets for the hard-core gamers in any MMORPG. If you want to play Eve Online, you must be very careful how you are playing. Maybe you will have fun, if you stay far away from troubles. Casual gamers are not famous for long term playing if any multiplayer games. But, I can guarantee you that you will have fun in you play this game long enough. And maybe you will be more than casual gamer.

Casual gamers have it almost as good as hardcore gamers.
For one EVE's skill training system is set up in such a way that you will get new skills and abilities whether you play or not.
For two high security space still have resources that make good money. You don't need to go to 0.0 to become rich.
Casual/weekend gamers that get involved with pvp typically complain that they are always low on money. What you can do here is buy like a 30 day time code once a week and trade it to another player for about 150 mil ISK. This is CCP approved way for buying ISK btw from other players so you won't get into any trouble for this. So for just $15 you get enough money to buy and fit several ships and pvp however much you like when you do log on without having to grind.
