How much do you pay? I was paying ridiculously little before for only liability on a crappy Volvo, but now that I get full coverage I'm paying a little over $2000 for a 2002 VW Jetta that I have on financing.
Almost perfect driving record except for a failure to stop at a stop sign ticket I got years ago. And I am 26.
Isn't that like f*****g too expensive?

I pay $250 a month at 18 with a perfect driving record and two safety courses under my belt. It was over $300 when I was first quoted.

I'm paying $110 a month for my 2003 Malibu, I'm 25 and have one ticket on my record as well.
My S10 before then was something like $77 a month... a pretty damn good price considering I was 21.
I couldn't fathom paying 2k or more a year, that's a huge ripoff.

different states different rates.

Kireol and I are from the same state. For his vehicle, his rate is fine. I'm just saying on a car like mine or a Jetta (4-door, 5-passenger family sedans), 2k is ridiculous.

paying $1200/yr for comprehensive coverage on my 350Z (under my father's policy, thanksdadmerryxmastoyoutoo)
and it's Allstate too btw. and i'm changing policies as soon as im old enough not to get saddled with the superinflated rates for the "young males driving sports cars" policy. 25 for that, same as the age for rental cars, right?

Guess who gets to live in the state with the highest car insurance
I'm gonna try to increase my deductible and see if that doesn't do something for me.

heh you all don't know what high insurance rates are
i've had a perfect driving record except one minor frender bender in 2000 that was my fault.
When i bought a new car in july my insurance company said they wanted
4700 a year ..it had been 3 years since accident and i have been with statef arm since i was 18...i'm 33 now
..its a 23000 car nothing special...i blew a gasket and checked everywhere..only place cheeper was thru a company my work deals with
got it for 2611
in 2 years i'll be back to 5 star rating then things should drop back to normal.
Never let your state/province adopt no fault insurance..its the s***s

US insurance rates are f*****g insane then. That's in the order of twice the expected costs for Comperhensive cover in the UK, maybe 4 times for Third Party (liability).
Your market must be socialised to f**k to be so broken.

Eduin
