I have 76 AVI files and I'd like to take some stills to post here and on my home page. I haven't tried some of the more obscure options of Xine yet, tho probably should. Anyone have a Win32 app to take screenshots of AVI files?

Alt-Printscrn, Ctrl-Printscrn, Shift-PrintScrn, and plain ole PrintScrn do not save the video framebuffer used by media players such as WMP, WinAmp and DivX's player.

Adobe has an app bundled with Photoshop called Image something or other that can open video files and break them down into frames. Look in your Photoshop directory, it's called image something or other. It's been with every install I have ever had of Photoshop so I know you have it if you have a newer Photoshop.
Anyway, open the app, then go file open, select you video, use the slider to get to the point you want the grab then either print screen the video IN THIS APP then paste in your photo editor OR pull the frames right from the image app. Up to you.
I just print screen from the app since it's easier.
