Can any MMORPG beat WOW?

I am going to ask you one question, but I already know the answer. I mean I know the answer if you look at the number of players, but I am not sure that the quantity if followed by quality every time. I think that World of warcraft is a great game, but I don’t know if this is the best online game ever. Can any MMORPG beat WOW?
World of warcraft is the best game if you ask me, but that is juts what I think. I agree that you should not judge a game by only number of players that are playing it, but this should count for something as well. I think that this game is the most popular and this is what we can say with some kind of certainty, anything else would be just pure guessing. I think that we should all have one game that is better then the others, but this is juts our judgment and it should not mean anything to somebody else.
Everquest was pretty fun the first 2 or 3 years.. lost it after that tho
hopefully when WAR comes out everyone will move to it.. i think wow is a bit dated now and it's quite hard to get anywhere without being a hardcore raider/pvper

War Hammer won't beat WoW, but personally i'm looking forward to mythos
i think that warhammer online may get close to beating world of warcraft the format of the game seems very close to world of warcraft but has better features

. I'm very excited about this game. Many people say why? Well all I can say is that I have hopes in Mythic (developer of DaoC) to do a great job with this game. The game has an extraordinary lore, awesome development team for RVR and is something new . And like we all know, the best out of an MMO is the first 2 years. So WoW is getting there and hoping Warhammer online becomes the next big MMO out there. Hopefuly they will know how to market it just like Blizzard did with WoW.

Age of Conan comes out May 22. The open beta starts May 1st. You can get a fileplanet sub. and play in the open beta.
Lets be honest nothing will beat wow but wow. The game has evolved into a social tool much like facebook. Lets stop thinking of wow as only a mmo and more a game with a huge social aspect to it. The only way wow is gonna disappear is with time or if the devs do something horrible to the social part of the game
I agree with the post above me. I dont even really play anymore, yet i log on to talk with the dozens of people I leveled up with etc. for me Wow is more of a social thing, I have ton's of "days played" but i wouldnt be supprised if half the time played was sitting in ironforge just chatting with people.
I hope MMORPG's in general actually scale downa bit, in all honesty it is veryEASY to get wrapped up in the game, I know i did. To many people spend to many man hours on this damn game or other mmo's because they NEVER end.
WoW will eventually subside, but I wouldnt be supprised if they are on top for the next 2/3 years.

Many games have tryed to beat WoW but they all have failed
depends on what are you looking for.

WoW will fall, very slowly. I think AoC will shake it a bit. WAR might, though I doubt it. When Blizzard releases its next MMO though, I think that's when WoW will crash.
If there is any then it is the orginal Everquest.
I believe Age of Conan will beat WoW.
Look up on it. It doesn't look amazing but Battlekeeps, PvP mini-games, PvP leveling experience and Sieges look amazing!
