CoD4 is a great game. Easy to pick up and play and rewarding and challenging at the same time. Don't forget to play custom maps! CoD4 will get boring really fast if you play the same maps over and over.

Call of duty 4 is definately the best FPS to be released recently, atleast for online play. Definately worth a buy if ur into pc FPS

I played COD4 hardcore for months on end at the beginning of the year. Now, since I unlocked all the golden weapons and completed the majority of different challenges, I've given up on it. Still, I do play it on occasions, and it's still very good gameplay, whether you're playing single player or multiplayer. Just a word of warning, if you're just starting out on playing COD4, I really wouldn't recommend going on a hardcore team death match server with fifty people! ;D

I like on the PC and on console. Two totally different games. The PC is more competitive for sure though.
And less 8 year olds whining into the mic. Did they finally release a patch for PS3 that lets u turn off the mics?

kinda late on reply but cod4 is the bestgame ever... BUT it also depends on what cosole you buy it for personally i thinkcpod4 for PC kicks butt its ez to kill somone on PC thn to kill on ps3 or xbox.. but tht is myopinion

Sorry I going to disagree i think xbox 360 is the best system to play it on as it is already team oriented on it. Espically the hardcore mode which is awesome for team based clan matches.

its ok.. the single player is fun but its too short. multiplayer is pretty fun but it can get pretty chaotic when you have many people on a small map.

Some guns should have been toned down abit before release (p90) but with things like promode its nicely done.

Ahh finally a CoD4 topic that i can voice my opinion on!
This game is easily the best FPS ive ever played for PC.
2nd coming in a close call is CS:S of course.
Multiplayer is an amazing part of the game, so many diferent match types, maps.
Single player was rather interesting, decent story line.

The singleplayer was very nice in COD4, but i hated the epilog level where you have 60 secs to get through the plane on the hardest difficulty (i think it's Veteran).
I tried this so often i went crazy because i made it to the end where you have to rescue the hostage and shot it instead of the terrorist.
The Multiplayer is damn nice.
There are some nice Realism mods like TRM or tclmod, they really are a hardcore-hardcore mode
