Funny, you'd think that with scripted questions preselected from mild mannered journalists he knows won't offer any opposition questions, he could AT LEAST spend some time thinking out clever responses!
No wonder he put Helen Thomas in the back row and never called on her. Maybe she was onto something when she published that he is the worst president in American history...

The whole press conference was a waste of everyone's hour. The scripted questions/responses didn't surprise me (I think we all know they won't let Bush speak off-the-cuff ever again), but I was really dismayed by the lack of content. I don't think we 'learned' a single new item from him. Powell is more interesting, although he's gone seriously downhill these past few years.

Bush Sr. is a smart guy, and Dubya's brother in Florida seems to be pretty sharp too. One of those two did it with the help of Reagan's old boys no doubt. I truly believe Dubya when he says he hasn't a clue what we mean by 'cheating in the elecetion.'

There's tons of literature out there concerning the Florida vote and what went wrong. From counting un-postmarked Bush votes, to 'faulty' chads, to simply throwing Gore votes away (as was the case in Lake County), Bush was able to amass a 537 vote advantage over Gore in Florida and took the state. It is no coincidence that Bush's brother happens to be the governor of Florida

While there is no doubt as to the fact that Bush isn't the brightest lightbulb out there, that he's a few fries short of a happy meal at any given time, and that he comes off as sort of a dullard, he is our president, and will be at least until the end of next year. Flaming anyone gets you pretty much nowhere, so it doesn't really do us good to do that.
Unfortunately, it is true that Bush sounded pretty much like a broken record up there, he did make a couple of comments that I thought were good though, like "We do not need U.N. authorization to attack anyone". I guess if anyone had a question regarding that then they are answered now. I think that if I hear the words "weapons of mass destruction" and "he has not disarmed" again I might puke, at least throw in something different man! =P.

So even if they destroy everything they have..it will never be enough for Bush and he will always use the same shit : they lie...they hide weapons...
Iraq is f****d whatever they do there would be 1,000,000 UN inspector saying that they dont have such weapons and Bush owuld stil lsay the same shit again and again.
No much to say when you see a country that wants no matter what to attack another .

There are alot of clueless people on these boards, but you my french canadian, scocialist scumbag friend, take the cake.
