Hey guys,
I have a question, you might be able to help and if you are, thanks
Okay so I have downloaded a show from stage6.divx.com and I burn it, it doesnt work in my DVD player or Playstation, it will say there is a file but it doesnt play. So after that, I placed the file on Media Player and burnt again but the same thing happened. So, finally, I decided to download it from another site but the same thing has happened, I let my friend borrow the DVD and it wouldn't work for her either. Do any of you guys know what is wrong?

It could be file corruption, especially if it's a very large file. Sometimes I download videos that are 700 MB to find out I can't use them because a tiny part of it is corrupted.
I couldn't say much more without knowing what type of video file it is.

Try burning the disc from another computer.....your hardware might have a problem.

Yes if it plays on your pc then download winavi video converter and convert the file say an avi or xvid to dvd format then it might play in a standalone dvd player.

Okay I use Divx and so thats where the burning problems are. They go onto the disc and they wont play in the DVD player, but when I use it in the computer, it plays. How do you download something in a different format?
