I just bought my burner and I'm new to it so with that being said...
I'm trying to burn Bleach onto a DVD (can only get get 3 episodes on 1 disc ) for a friend. Problem is, is whenever I burn an episode the bottom half of the subtitles are off the screen. Anyone know how to fix this? Better yet if you know a better burning program other than Ulead (I'm sure it's the bottom of the barrel), a link would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

ulead is horrible
i'm presuming that you are trying to burn avi's to dvd using built in converter?
I'd recommend nero 6.6.0.8's nero vision express 3
it includes the ability to convert to dolby and supports 2 pass encoding for better picture quality.
3 40min episodes is normal that works out to about 2hrs worth of video.
I've done many that are only 2 episode cuz they're actually 52min's long and i don't want to use any lower bit rate.
the real secret is the source..the higher quality the source is the more you can shrink it and retain good quality.
i heard the new roxio 7.5 has a new divx to dvd converter might want to check out if its anygood as well

blaze media pro > nero express
nero express f*****g sucks on transcoding shit, it fails 70% of the time. use blaze media and make it mpeg then use nero express and burn it.

I have same problem with bleach, you should be able to set up your dvd player to show the whole picture though.

In tmpeg you can change the aspect ratio, you have to fiddle with it but it will allow the subs to be higher usually. It's one of those things you just have to f**k with until you get it right.
