Know of any good online guides for this kind of stuff? I've been looking at some custom-made strategy collections on some of the forums, but it's like one good idea for every 10 pages of incomprehensible jargon babbling… BTW, I'd prefer free guides, if you have any, but yeah, I know how it goes…

I'd check out guildwars.gameamp.com if I were you, or guildwarsguru.com. Even better, there's also mmorpguides.com, which is not GW-specific. This second one is a pay site, though, and IMHO, it's well worth it, at least from a dedicated MMO-gamer's perspective.
