Sounds like you're overpaying a little bit.

I wouldn't waste money on Audigy. I also wouldn't wait on SATA2, playing the waiting game in PC hardware means you'll never buy anything, and the performance increase will probably be insignificant unless you're doing something like encoding movies that does a lot of read/write.

Where are you pricing this stuff at? I do my shopping at pricewatch, and admittedly, I don't go for the name brand premium so that I can get 2% more performance for 20% more price, but it still seems a little pricey.

I tend to stick with Newegg, Amazon or Buy.com, whichever is cheapest. Crucial sometimes for memory. You can save a bit buying everything at the cheapest possible price, but I prefer to buy everything at one place if possible. $600+ for a video card is ridiculous to me, but if that's what you want...

looks good~

Sept for the audigy, f**k audigy. f**k Creative.

If you're just planning on gaming the onboard sound on that Nf4 will do fine.

Ditch the s****y sound card and put that money towards a a64 x2 4200 instead of a 4000+ ;p

Dual core for gaming is not going to be much benefit, if any.

It will be more benefitual then that s****y sound card, which holds no benefits over the onboard audio already on the motherboard unless you cant live without EAX 4.0 (a s****y api if you ask me.. lol don't even go into Creative's driver support...). Nvidia has always put very good audio MCPs on their mobos. Personally the old Nforce 2 Soundstorm was more superior for gaming even over a Audigy 2.

With the duel core he can play BF2 while having 236 porn pages open in the background without any hint of slow down!

Damn! And I just bought an X850 PE for $440 last week. Does that price include tax and shipping too, or is it gonna end up being like $540 anyway?
