So I recently broke up with this girl after about 2 1/2 years. We had what was thought by us a “too good to be true” relationship. I guess it was. A few things in our individual lives went wrong, or let’s just say…didn’t go at all. Our love was still there though (or so I thought). I find out towards the end of our relationship that she’s talking to another guy. Now a few friends of mine (not human) find out that this guy is a huge pig, has had a lot of problems with ex’s, the law etc. So I think to myself what in the f**k did I do to lose this girl to (possibly) this guy. I’m drunk one night and try to figure out what I did so that in future relationships I don’t do it again. Of course I’m plastered and do it the wrong way, but it’s not like I had a lot to lose since I think she was pretty set on leaving me anyways. Well in this conversation I hurt her in some way. I think she took a few things the wrong way.
So this is what I have so far…she didn’t think the mental aspect was there at all…and nothing spiritually at all. She then says she’s physically attracted to me. What do I do? I’m almost 99.9% sure I wont get her back, and I’m partiality closed on this (which is what I wanted the most, I don’t want to be with someone that doesn’t want me).
Are there any females that could maybe give me any insight on this? I don’t know wtf I’m looking for, but damn I loved this girl more than you could possibly imagine, and figured I’d post something here to make me feel a little better.
I’m already hurt like you wouldn’t imagine. Anyone that has gone though something like this knows. So I ask that the flames be put away for at least a week or two while I try and regroup myself, I’d really appreciate it, I’m depressed enough as it is.

Not sure what answers you're looking for...
What I do know is that physical attraction cannot sustain a real relationship all by itself. There must be something added to it.
Physical attraction plus a real friendship/companionship. They both need to be there. If one is missing it might be best for you to let this girl leave and look for someone who appreciate both the person you are AND your looks/****-appeal.
Then again you were already with this girl for 2.5 years... not sure what she means that she is missing a 'mental' aspect, but it either wasn't there to begin with or you and she lost the friendship/have grown apart in the last 2 years. She's probably able to talk to this other guy in a way or about stuff she feels she can't talk to you.
Don't get too upset about that though. Because it probably doesn't have very much to do with you. Sometimes people just grow apart and they look for qualities in people that their partner lacks or that are opposite from that partner, and they get attracted to that because the relationship isn't working anymore. That doesn't mean there's something wrong with you, or more wrong than with someone else. Just means that the relationship stopped working.
It hurts right now but you will be fine. Not sure who you are/how old you are but you sound relatively young. In that case: let her leave. If you really think you two are 'meant to be' just keep in mind that if that is true you will find each other again. But in all likelyhood you are not. You can love someone that isn't the best companion for you in life, and it hurts when you break up, but it will work out for the best after a while. It just usually takes a while to see the whole picture. Don't look for clarity too hard right now. That will come later. For now just try to not get too depressed. Try to busy your mind with other things, work, hobbies, whatever. Go out with your friends, try to have some fun, or at least try to go out of the house a bit.

Until then, go get laid, man or woman. Do it now.
If you're over 23.... ask yourself if you are happy with her. If you say yes, then the rest should be conclusive.
