I heard they are going to take away his awards he got for this documentary because almost everyone in the movie had a script making it not a real documentary . Anyone know if there is any truth to this ?

A lot of it was him not really making a point.
There were times when he was blatantly doing it to be right, or shoving what he thinks at you without rationality, rather than arguing a point.
At times he even assigns blame where it is unwarranted. And overall in the entire documentary he is reaching out at anything to blame no matter how far fetched. He seems like he is out for personal victory instead of convincing people of his view. Not to mention that he doesn't even show contrasting views and how his viewpoint is better than another, he simply shoves it in your face (see previous paragraph)
A lot of the statistics are off because of population.
In conclusion, Michael Moore does not know what he is talking about. Is logically flawed. And made a total ass of himself at the Academy Awards.

stupidest part is where he goes after k mart because they sold the bullets used in the shootings.
The constant comparisons to canada are really flawed due to the huge population differences.
Still thought it was interesting

Most of the stuff I'm reading says he did a really good editting job to twist things the way he wanted.
One thing I read says the scene where he walked in and picked up a gun in a bank or something (trying to show how easy it is to get guns) didn't mention that he had called 2 months in advance, told them what he was doing, and had a backround check already done.

M. Moore is an ass who manages to make some pretty amusing, pointed films.
BFC is one of his best, and targets one of the best examples of North American lunacy.

I didnt think it was a serious movie. Havent seen it yet, but since I get free rentals, its on a list of "someday".
I keep hearing the same quote in a trailer about it. Was something like:
"everyone is looking for a reason 'why' they did what they did. When asked what they were doing before, they said they were bowling. Why didnt anyone blame bowling?"

BFC is more about general social commentary and less about the perceived specific issue. It's satrical, and Moore is brilliant for rankling some as badly as he does.
