Ended up grabbing book 1 of dark tower for a new series to start after I finish two others.
Tolanin: Eddings is what started me on Fantasy, I own them all for sentimental reasons really. I do have up to Death Of Chaos and have read Fall Of Angels by L.E. Modesitt already, forgot to mention that... and most of the Dune books, but none of the new ones.
The Deathgate Cycle is a 7 book series in which great mages ripped a world apart into the 4 basic elements. Air, Water, Fire, Stone. They also created a prison for their enemies called the Labyrinth and a place for them to come out of the Labyrinth "cured". This enemy race sends an explorer through what's called "The Deathgate" which is a gate between the worlds. He looks at each world, meets the people, gathers information, and goes back to his master with said information and then is off to the next world. I don't want to get any further into than that as it will begin to reveal parts of the plot. I personally found it to be a great series even if Occypoo doesn't like it

There is actually an author from the UK that I cannot remember, and in all truth know little about, but you couldn't get her books here. I believe it was a female author and the series name had Moon in it... doesn't help much I know. A friend told me about it, sent me a link, but I deleted the link and haven't seen that friend online for a bit. Oh and her last name was in the first half of the alphabet.
