Black screen after EVE graphics update and is this something that is usual, or should I be concerned about this? I am not that involved in the computer except when I play online games and do some word processing stuff at my job, so I am afraid that something is terribly wrong with my computer because of this black screen.

There is nothing to be afraid at all. This is simply a normal process and you will be seeing this a lot in the next time period. Every time that you play online game of any sort and when you do the graphics update, and this is something that you will be doing a lot more in the future, you will see a black screen at the end. Zit would be good to restart your computer after every update that you do. Don’t get any third party programs and you will be just fine. There is nothing else that you should be thinking of at this moment.
