Ironic since the Democratic party is pretty much run by billionaires nowadays.

Because we're all in this together, sort of.

That slogan rules.

Oh, and the reason billionaires are with the Democrats? They don't let their personal situation influence their philosophical and political thinking.

Their philosophical thinking requires them to redistribute their wealth.

And why the f**k has this thread been censored??

I've always thought that people tend go through a few political phases in their lives:

When you're young, you're idealistic and have few needs, so you tend to be a liberal.

Then you hit your twenties, and you think "f**k, life is hard. I'm competent and hardworking and I'm going to get my piece, and I'll be damned if any lazy b*****d or welfare mother is going to take it away from me". Some people stay in this state forever, e.g. Kbarr, Confused.

You get to be reasonably successful, and you think "money isn't everything. The environment is important too; and world affairs, and culture. And in a way I'm kind of lucky to have what I've got. Realistically a lot of people didn't have my opportunities", and you become a liberal again. Maybe that's where I am.

Following that you maybe get even more successful, and think "you know what, I'm running a company, and doing a damn good job of it, even though I've had to do a few things I'd rather not have done. Somebody should be running the country the way I run my business; someone has to make the tough choices." Now you're back to being a conservative.

Once you're a billionaire, you probably think "Damn, I've got so vastly much more than I could ever used, I need to make the world a better place. It's not like I have anything to worry about personally". Bingo, back to being a liberal.

I'd hate to boil the difference between the parties into one of self-interest Razz

Some of my threads have been edited or flat out removed. The board is taking that slide to where a "very" few people get to stifle opinions that they don't particularly like.

The ones who think I'm referring to them will of course deny this. That is to be expected.

/yawn

Been there done that, anyone see Conan's name pop up here? Naa...it can't be him, must be some other a*****e.

Anyway, while I had the virus I didn't read this board for a month or more and it weaned me off cold turkey style. That was good. I still read it once or twice a day but I find less interest now that certain people are doing as they feel. I'll try not to post, I'm not banning myself in anyway. Just don't like to play a game where some people have "hacks" that give them special advantages. Selective moderation is for c***s and p*****s and totally changes the feel of the board.

And...

Democrats are all scum, any party that has michael moore, puff daddy and al sharpton as role models is a total joke:)

Even they know this, they just can't admit it.
