What's the best way to level a character when you're not doing it yourself
is powerleveling safe? And can it be done without being banned..?

Honestly there's no need anymore. Blizz made leveling easier and the changes make a very noticeable difference.
Took a rogue from lvl 1 to lvl 70 on a fresh server (no mains, banks or alts to help) in right at two weeks with a little over 4 days played. Did nothing but quest. No instances, no grinding.
Power leveling services are still grinding & bot'ing their way to 70. It takes longer, *can* get caught and costs a lot of money.

Typo. Little over 5 days.
On a side note, is there not a way to edit a post?

60+ is still a grind, imo

When I played WoW questing was always faster for me. Grinding is ok if you have full rest xp, otherwise it seems slower, and unless you have a high threshhold for pain or you are being paid to do it, it can be pretty bad

On the topic of grind vs. quest, I've noticed, with the help of xp monitoring mods, that questing seems to net the best xp per hour. Perhaps I found GREAT areas for grinding though, except for one spot. As soon as you enter Swamp of Sorrows from deadwind pass, hang a left around a mountain and you will find a pocket of swamp lurkers. These are great to grind on from 38-41ish. Other than that, questing is what I do

powerleveling services are a waste of money and very dangerous because you could get your account scammed from you as well

MOst wont scam you but It's another IP address that they can track. If they decide to be p****s they can ban you.

Dude honestly most players do it on their own and it takes forever their first time, it sucks but its a game not just somethign else to cheat on, there is no safe way to do it with out doing it, all alternatives are illegal according to the contract you agreed to when you opened the game the first time.

Here's a simple trick.. party with a lvl 70 pally, and have them pull a ton of mobs near the entrance of a low-level instance. Get them to drop a consecrate and leave the instance. This will net you all the experience from the dying mobs, without you taking any damage. Do this in high level instances and you can level to 50-ish in literally two days.

Instance leveling works best if you have a good friend that can do it effiecently, but blizzard has recently increase the EXP gained and buffed alot of zones with how many quests and EXP given, look to get ran through as many instances as you can, and level and grind when nobody is around, its pretty easy just takes some constant play to get it done, and get the level that gives you a really good talent spec to make it easy

My friend bought a bot for himself. He just bots characters up to 70, it is pretty quick as long as you have food, and no one talks to you.

As a plus, as long as you find the right bot, it'll never be detected by Warden. You just have to watch out for other players who, if they notice that you're botting, will report you. You won't get permabanned the first time, just a 72-hour ban... but still, just try to avoid getting reported if you find that botting is the way you wanna go.

the gms can always tell when you are botting unless you made the bot yourself and are sitting there making sure they dont see patterns and see your afk and still killing stuff

I really wouldn't recommend using a bot or any other type of program. It seems that blizz is cracking down on botters recently and it would be a sham to lose an account over such a thing.

Warden isnt as great as people think. It doesnt always 100% detect known bots and hacks. People have been speedhacking and teleporting on public servers within the past month and have not been suspended. So from this i can guess the warden checks players on request, not automatically, which means botting is safe providing you arent constantly reported and can answer when a GM contacts you.

Warden is not good at all, it can't pick up the bot because all the bot does is read the WoW game coding and presses keyboard buttons to move your character etc.

best way might be to start and lvl your char to 10, then bring a mage or lock or pally friend, and go to WC, and get PL there. then when you don't get any exp anymore, go to SM, after than try LBRS, then SP in outland, but then you'll need a grp to PL you

Yeah but you have to have the mage tag mobs while not in a group, that way you get all the experiance.
After you tag them I mean >.<

I don't like the power leveling . The real game is when you are on the char
The questing is the fastest way (if you are a pro quester )

hook your girlfriend/boyfriend on the game and let them level for you
or
if you have a younger sibling(s) just give it to him or her during a school vacation and pay them some money for it

My trick is this... lets use stockades for example. Take 2 25's and a 70 hunter. Kick the hunter, tag the mobs, and have ONLY THE HUNTERS PET kill your targets. Both 25's split full xp =]
