What was the best gift you received during the holiday time. It can be for Christmas, Hanukah, and Kwanza etc. and from the recent past or your childhood.

For me, I loved Lego’s so much. I guess when I was 7 or 8? I received a huge Lego space monorail. It came with a battery propelled train and I got tons of tracks to make it extra long. It was huge, when fully built; it took up the entire oversized pool table in the basement. My parents hated it once they saw the final size haha.

It hasn't been set up in years. The box might be floating around down behind the bar somewhere though, since mostly we store shit behind it.

It's funny, the best gift I can think of seems really stupid. When I was in second or third grade, I had an uncle who was an accountant, and he gave me a paperback book of mathematical tables (trig, logs, etc), with instructions on how to interpolate values and an introduction to algebra and analysis. It was way beyond anything I'd had in school yet. I loved that book, read the text parts over and over until it was literally falling apart. I can't even imagine what a little nerd I must have been for that to seem like a reasonable gift, but that book and I were inseparable Smile

Gifts mean little really.

It's all about the people.

The best xmas morning that I remember was one where my sister and I got up at like 4 am and "santa" had gotten me a shit load of He-Man toys. They were all unwrapped and unboxed and were setup around the xmas tree. We were playin with em and my dad came up in his underwear and told us to go back to bed. I guess this was around 19 yrs ago.
