I've been practicing bass guitar for a month or two and the easy stuff has started to get pretty trivial. Anyone have any recommendations for songs that aren't that difficult but might still challenge a beginner? I haven't done much with slap bass but I'm also looking for a good way to learn that aspect too, if anyone has any advice.

play along with some SRV. great simple blues progressions, but with great bass lines. Learn thoes, and you can play most everythign out there.

mxtabs.net has some lessons and shit on their site. They have a good one for 3 and 4 finger picking.
