Yup, this is the only way I'd ever buy anything here. But I've read that Admins here won't be a middleman, and most of the threads here have become unreadable due to the Database problems.
I'm looking to bid a considerable amount for an MMO account and I can think of no other way to make it as risk free as using a established middleman would be.
Can anyone enligten me on this subject?
Thanks in advance: Spandex.

Okay, f****d up previous post real good.
What I was trying to ask is, does RP support middleman trades, and are there trusted community members that are known to have done these?
I believe someone wrote an article regarding this issue?
I was going to read up on the rules on trades, but the database ate all the posts.

Nobody registered on realpoor.com is permitted to offer middleman services. We banned it a few months ago and i'll have the article detailing how to use middlemen deleted. Too many scammers will gain good rep and offer their services as a middleman, then scam both accounts or recall accounts over time leaving the traders wondering what the hell happened. Seen enough of this on other trading sites and middleman services dont work due to human greed. Anyone caught offering MM services will be banned as it is covered in the rules.
We will be offering premium memberships to those who want to trade safely. It ensures safe, legit trading with premium content. We will steadily drop support for public section over time and leave those who dont care about safety and focus on our premium members.

Ah, OK.
I saw a post with the title "RP will be accepting limited middlemen services" or along that line. But the crash ate the posts.
I also found the article by R1ckee, stating he'd be open for being a middleman.
The reason you posted for disallowing it do make sense though.
Thanks for the clatification.

How long down the road is the transition going to be, to a more paying customer orientated experience?

The sooner the better. I get paranoid reading the scammer threads. I have some high value accounts to sell but am unsure whether to use Paypal (charge back scam possibility) or western union (buyers would probably not go for that).
Please get that going before the expansion. I'm trying to get rid of my accounts before then (and the value plummets) and I'm sure a ton of people are also doing the same thing.
