In light of recent exploits to loopholes in the policy, I've decided to explicitly state a file size limitation for avatar and signature pictures. It's simply not fair to force people to see your ridiculously large avatar/sig because you feel the need to be an attention w***e.
I would like realpoor to provide input in this decision, so please choose the option that you feel serves the board best. This poll will be used as a guideline for determining the policy, but realpoor administration reserves the right to make the final decision.
Note: Requiring avatars and sigs to have seperate limits typically reduces the number of people who approach the limit since they have to pick two pictures. Combined means you have can have any combination of avatar / signature pictures totaling a size less than or equal to the limit (more likely to have people near the limit). The previous image size rules still apply here, most of the files approaching any limit are the animated ones.

Personally Compu I don't care...
The connections I view RP on are fast enough that even Xis' little thing don't cause any problems. I know not everyone is so lucky... but it's all about me dammit! so no limit

Actually the option no limit works for me. I don't care if it is 2 megs or 24kb... I say no limit.
I have a feeling this poll really doesn't mean shit anyways... Compu added the section about how admins will make the final decision anyways, and he has been wanting to limit the sizes anyways. So far "no limit" has a commanding lead but I forsee restrictions anyways. My question is why bother?

I want to know what people want. I'm trying to let everyone have a voice here, instead of just dictating rules based on what I want. If you want to say f**k THE MAN! f**k U COMPUSMACK, that's your choice. I just know that people come crying to me about sig/avatar sizes and I just want to make everyone as satisfied as possible. Most of the people here are reasonable posters that know what is ok and what is not. There would be no need to write down anything if everyone was as considerate, but there's always some random assclown who wants attention so they ruin things.

That aside: I'd say pick a size that makes the sigs and stuff run okay with average computers... I dunno which size that would be, but it sucks when someone has a recurring sig that makes your comp barf.
