In 1996 Midway purchased it and renamed it Midway Games West. Sadly, Midway recently decided to close down Midway Games West.
THe only remnants of it now are the classic titles that Infogrames puts out.

Actually though the hardware developer ceased to exsist the games development continues to sneak some shit out under the Atari name...
Godzila:DaMM for one.
