Since when? I'm positive one of the rules to be eligible to run for president is born citizen. But it's not like laws can't be changed.

First off, yes, you have to be a natural born citizen, and second off, no, it won't be changed, because 66% of lawmakers aren't as stupid as you guys.

Dude just think about it for a second. If Arnold had aspiration to become president, and he was their best shot at presidency AND had a good chance of winning I'm sure they would change the law. In fact the law was almost changed just a short while ago by attaching it as a rider to some bill.

It's all about motivation not whats in a book.

It would take a constitutional amendment, not a "law" to change the requirements for presidency.

http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.articleii.html#section1

Quote:
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.

Ya, I'm not saying this shit will happen or even has a remote chance, but man that would be f*****g cool, should change the law allowing him to serve a lifelong term as well while I'm in fantasyland.

Lollerskates.

Your reply would've been funnier if it was from an Arnold movie though.

There is a backdoor way to get a foreign born citizen into the position of president.

Yes, you have to be born in the US to run for prez BUT no Vice Prez. So...

Someone could put him on the ticket as VP then not finish there term as President and the VP would bump up into the position without being elected. At that point they would be incumbent and no subject to the rules of election as far as I can tell.

Yes, American military bases and embassies in foreign countries count as American soil.
