Ok so I was extremely stupid and went Armorsmith, and once I hit 270 I found that I had nothing left to skillup on and nothing worth making so I stopped working on it. This morning I won the plans for Dark Iron Plate, which is like the reason I even went Armorsmith to begin with, and it requires 290 smithing.
The only recipe I have that's orange at 270 is Wildthorn Mail, which is totally worthless and I think it's like 40 thorium bars plus a bunch of other shit, and thorium is 10g/stack on my server. The most I've ever had was like 27g so I'm not going to be able to skillup by buying Thorium. I bought Mithril Rapier plans which are yellow to me but those take Moss Agates which I can never find.
Sooo any suggestions for skilling up past 270? I did Mithril spurs from like 250 to 270 and they're green now. At my current rate I won't hit 290 for like 3 months.

Dude, get Thorium Belt or Thorium Bracer plans. You can power skill on those like all day long. Belt green's out before Bracer though, and they both require pretty much the exact same thing. (Blue crystals for bracer, red for belt I think)
I finally made my DI plate last night. It took me ages to gather all 160 dark iron ore that I needed...

Yeah except the patterns for Thorium Bracer/Leggings/Belt all sell for 35g on Doomhammer.

Yeah when your f*****g level 60, but from level 1-60 you will be using shit you wear.

Armor smith is great for raiding guilds, when it comes to making raid loot.
High FR gear for Onyxia / Molten Core. that general idea.
