Where did we come from?
Why are we here?
Where do we go when we die?
What lies beyond
And what lay before?
Is anything certain in life?
They say " Life is too short"
"The here and the now"
And " You`re only given one shot"
But could there be more
Have I lived before
Or could tis be all that we`ve got?
If I die tomorrow
I`d be allright
Because I believe
That after we`re gone
The spirit carries on
I used to be frightened of dying
I used to think death was the end
But that was before
I`m not scared anymore
I know that my soul will transcend
I may never find all the answers
I never understand why
I may never prove
What I know to be true
But I know that I still have to try

Don't know, don't care, when I die I move on to whatever's next and deal with it... until someone shows me video footage of heaven or hell that is certified by God himself, I'm going to keep thinking that I'm worm food

Why is it so important that there be "something" after death?
I don't want to die but I also do not want to live forever. Everything dies that's just the way it is.

It reminds me of a story.
The teacher's dog loved his evening romp with his master. The dog would bound ahead to fetch a stick, then run back, wag his tail, and wait for the next game.
On this particular evening, the teacher invited one of his brightest students to join him - a boy so intelligent that he became troubled by the contradictions of the teachings..
"You must understand," said the teacher, "that words are only guideposts. Never let the words or symbols get in the way of truth. Here, I'll show you."
With that the teacher called his happy dog. "Fetch me the moon," he said to his dog and pointed to the full moon.
"Where is my dog looking?" asked the teacher of the bright pupil.
"He's looking at your finger."
"Exactly. Don't be like my dog. Don't confuse the pointing finger with the thing that is being pointed at. "All our words are only guideposts. Everyman fights his way through other men's words to find his own truth."

Prove to me that you dream... and it happens every day.
I'm not convinced death exists.
Which sort of leads me to think that life also isn't particularly substantial when you get down to it.

Dreams are simply thoughts we have while sleeping which are not blocked by the reality of what we see. They are primal thoughts more often than not, **** dreams, death dreams, scary dreams, etc. Things every creature has on a basic level has thoughts of.
They also translate our subconscious thoughts into something we see in our mind (Freud stuff).
To say you can't prove that dreams exist would be like saying you can't prove thoughts exist, but each moment of our lives is full of thought... whether it's meaningful or not is another question...
This made sense when I wrote it, if it comes out poorly oh well.
