SD House Approves Abortion Ban
The South Dakota House has passed a bill that would nearly ban all abortions in the state, ushering the issue to the state Senate.
Supporters are pushing the measure in hopes of drawing a legal challenge that will cause the US Supreme Court to reverse its 1973 decision legalizing abortion.
The bill banning all abortions in South Dakota was passed 47-to-22 in the House.
Amendments aimed at carving out exemptions for rape, incest and the health of women were rejected.
The bill does contain a loophole that allows abortions if women are in danger of dying. Doctors who do those abortions could not be prosecuted.

It's not just South Dakota. Indiana, Ohio, Tennesee and Georgia at least are doing the same thing; they all started as soon as the Supreme Court changed.
It will be interesting if the country does fracture along state lines, if you will be able to just go to another state to get an abortion (which is fine if you have a moderate amount of resources), or if that will be illegal.
For instance, Massachusetts still has a law saying it's illegal to get married if it would be illegal in your home state. That was used to prevent black people from coming to Mass to get married when it was illegal in some states, although now that gay people can get married here they AG has been using it against them too. You can only assume the same might happen with abortion.
So in addition to money and transportation, add fake IDs to the what will be required to get an abortion. Just a wild guess, but I expect extremely draconian laws to be passed with harsh penalties for using a fake ID, ostensibly for "anti-terrorism" reasons, but actually to prevent women from getting abortions in other states.
