Socialism is a failure. It has failed every single time it has ever been implemented on any scale larger than a few dozen people in a commune. There is massive empirical data pointing out its failures, economists and political theorists have shredded it to pieces.
Yet Europeans continually elect socialist parties, and implement socialist policies which drive their economies further behind the US. Tell me Euros, are you all just that stupid?

they will again too.. government trend is just in the oh shit we murdered 40 milion people lets all be socialist to make up for it now trend... once they realize it sucks to be like that and they arent fanatical anymore about being nice to everyone and they realize how much there wealth was sapped by leechs they will get p****d off and it will swing back towards right wing dictatorships... someday someone will figure out being in the middle and skipping the bad sides of the both is the best idea...

Fine is relative. Most Americans would not be content with European standards of living. People b***h about gas prices here, but there they are through the roof. Last time I was there it was like $2 for a liter of gas.

Someone else said this but I think 'fine' is a very subjective term here. They aren't about to collapse but I'd hesitate before saying they are prospering either. Now Asia on the other hand...

People are weak willed. Can you really blame them for selecting socialism? Think about it. If it hadn't been for our cold war with Russia we'd have socialist parties here within the next 20 years. Look at all the PR b******t, look at all this embrace diversity hipocrisy, all this b******t that everyone is ok, that everyone is equal, that any judgment of any kind that places 1 thing above or below another is invalid. It's just mindless b******t where people's opinions are all that, everyones opinions are valid. Everything means nothing making it equal.
I know I'm rambling, but America now is f*****g more socialist than it has ever been. What happened to the capitilistic and entepreneruial(sp) spirit? People now b***h to the government and reporters that India took their jobs!? WHAT THE f**k. In the good ol' USA if someone takes your job it's becuase they beat your f*****g ass at something and it was your responsibility to offer a better product (yourself) than them or offer it a better price. These days people expect companies to "take care" of them and all this other mindless b******t that removes anyones personal accountability. It's always someone elses fault. You say socialism is a failure, I agree 100%, but look around you, we are f*****g socialists in everything but name. How many articles in the newspaper do you see potraying the rich in a positive light? - none. Now everyone believes that wealth somehow goes hand in hand with evil. And that poverty is noble. Give me a break! It makes me want to gag.
What happened to the days where people worshipped the Rockerfellers? Where wealth was a sign of ingeniuty? Not a sign of some nameless corruption? Where if you were fat it was becuase you wer a weak willed piece of shit, and not McDonalds fault for SuperSizing you!?

When I was in Europe two summers ago, the euro was 95 cents.
Kbarr hit it on the head, great place to visit, but to live? HAH. I doubt many people would give up there homes to pay exorbitent rents for a 400 year old shanty without many modern conveniences. Sure you can get a nice place, but most Europeans can't afford them.
