Tempted to come back and try out the combat revamp and start from scratch becasue it was so fun when I was a newb.
Curious to how the combat revamp has improved the game, along with other major upgrades to certain things.

The "combat upgrade" made it worse. Quit playing my jedi after it came out, everyone now has a bounty hunter since they're the only matches for jedi. They added levels to everything with 80 being the max. At 80 I would have to be grouped to kill a lvl 50 borgle sucker.
Basically, its a ghost town now. Lucky for sony though, they'll have the rush of fanbois from episode 3 to feed upon their crap.

now that Episode III is released they are playing a shit load of SWG commericals on G4. The commercials make it sound so godly. I laugh at all of the Star Wars fans who are getting suckered into a world of boredom. I mean I don't blame them, the commercial is just decieving.

I've cancelled all my accounts. However, the CU mostly killed the game for people who played for a long time because it would be like taking EQ and making it turn-based combat after being EQ for years. From what I gather, players who are totally new are actually loving the new system. It's the veteran players who are quitting in droves.

So at least 1 person, probably more, on realpoor.com have Jedis in SWG. I love
the way SOE kept jedis rare.

I went back to try the CU and the expansion, and I really enjoyed the game more than I did in the past.....but that was mostly because I came in during the 2nd anniversery and they were giving double exp, so I almost got Master Rifleman in a week. After that though I quit. Still though, I do think the game is improved.
