I have a paper due on Monday in my sociology class. For this paper, I'm supposed to find an article discussing in detail a "social phenomenon" and analyze it along with some other crap. I've been looking through old fark.com stuff and mainstream news sites like cnn.com and have yet to find anything that really fits the bill. Anyone have any suggestions? Anything you've read lately that I might be able to use?

More like an overall behavior change of a general population over time. One of the examples we did in class was examining the rise in popularity of hip hop culture.
