I've been away from the game for a year and a half, so my AA's are somewhat low and I only have the PoJ trial flag. I'm a level 65 enchanter with VT and Emp key. I play in the evenings(est) and most of the day on sunday.

Just because you got your share of VT Isriam, doesn't mean there aren't people left on the server who don't want to see it. Grow up already. Playing the hotshot on the playground was cool in 4th grade.

I wanted to do VT solely for seeing the zone. Now I think it was a waste of time. Sure the gear helped us alot to get where we are and I am still wearing the stuff I got from VT. But the farming of elementals is so much easier and more fun.
If you want to dedicate the time to a zone like VT you might as well do it for getting elemental flagged. The upside to VT I guess would be not as many guilds in it at the same time. But god clearing sucks ass. Even at 8 hours for a clear that is fast.
I would say IV if you want to do pop and maybe CB if you want to do VT. CB is about to do VT soon. I think they are just farming keys. Not really sure about things other than that. Omen and above will probably not recruit you because you are to far behind. You could always add to the evergrowing numbers of TS to.

i'll agree that vt is a waste of time. i do like having the key and being able to say i've done it though.
no diss on CB i like them, and they obviously want to see the entire game. I see IV more like TS, and CB more like Omen.

I just think it's funny because when you were all p*****g and moaning about being blocked on Emp people kept telling you to drop it and move to Elementals, it was so much more worth it.

like I said. I wanted to at the time and now think it is a waste of time. You also don't have anyone blocking you. So it was more so a waste for us than it is for you.

Actually we wanted in VT for a good 30 day clearing like we've always said. We got it, and we're done. LOTS of the effects in VT are not replaced in elementals.
Doing VT is great, IF you can do it quickly. Unlike CoSA.

You need to look at the guilds, and decide where you want to shoot for.
Currently SA COS BC are racing for time. SA and BC are DKP guilds, and COS is on macklootv1.0.
Omen TS and SOTN are lower elemental.
CB MOKB IV are doing tier 1-3 mobs.

Join CoS if you have a high playtime you will be able to loot anything you want after 125 raids over even mack himself.

See - I never got that. I remember Xarpolis and I chatting while he and ED cleared Vex Thal. He was going through the naming system (Xen Thal Cockslut means "a shadowknight mob which does not spit. i mean split."). But he said the zone sucked.
Then like 500 other people said the zone sucked. Yet they all freaking spent their time there. I just don't get it.

It's simple.. something is only good as long as it's fun for the people with the loudest voices. As soon as they are done with it, it sucks for everyone else and they're gimps for being there/doing it. Typical spoiled brat syndrome. I don't want to play with that toy anymore therefore, it can't possibly be worth anyone's time.

Once you've done VT 3-4 times, you've seen it all. You don't do it for progression sake. You do it for 2 reasons. Plethoria of loot, and usefull effects. Infact let me count up here for you:
11 full clearings.
235 loots from those 11 full clearings.
First Raid 11-10-03, last raid 1-16-04. Thats 21 pieces of loot per raid.
SA did around 30 full clearings, and CoS around 20 full clearings.
Now tell me why you wouldn't go for this zone keeping in mind that averago loot is 100hp/100mana + effects?
