I awoke today to my roommate and girlfriend freaking out because apparently they had been sleeping on a futon which had a huge fungus problem. By huge I mean you life up the top layer and it's just all over the place about an inch thick. They had been sleeping on it for more than a month. Anyone had any experience with getting rid of mold and keeping it out? I told him to take pictures of everything but get it out of the house and try and dry out the corner. Maybe we can fake a fungal infection and sue the landlord!

ugh, do you realize that shit can actually kill you? 
But..how did you guys not SMELL it? Especially your friends when they were laying on that futon....<shudder>
Good luck with cleaning that all up, hon. Walls can be bleached....futon and any other fabric items that are contaminated = garbage.

mm you can't sue your landlord if your piece of shit futon has fungi ... it isn't his/her fault that you don't know how to clean, or that you bought something used from someone who dididn't (probably still doesn't) know how to clean.
