Okay, here's the problem...
I have the beginnings of a shell written in VB 6.0. The plan is to run the shell upon startup by changing the shell in the Windows system.ini file.
The shell itself uses icons to launch different programs. The problem is Shadowbane and EQ will launch but won't patch. The only thing the shell does is launch the executable in a bin file when the icon is pressed. Does anyone know why neither of these programs would download?
The current shell works upon the same premise but I don't have the source code and it was written in iBasic (no idea of the version number) if that makes a difference.
If anyone has any ideas, please post them. If you need more information, please ask.

sb.exe launches the program but skips the patch program. or maybe its shadowbane.exe. Either way, try using the other exe file.

I can run the the game itself running the sb.exe or eqgame.exe files, however I want to be able to run the patch so that the game will update itself instead of having to be already up to date before the games can be run.
