The principle of the school Bush was reading to on 9/11 attacked Moore's portrayal of Bush. Apparently Moore criticizes Bush in his "documentary" for continuing to read to the schoolchildren for seven minutes after finding out about the attacks as part of his Bin-Laden connection BS.
| The Principle wrote: | | Tose'-Rigell said she plans to publish her account of the morning of Sept. 11 from pages she wrote in her journal following the attack. The principal said she didn't vote for Bush. "But that day I would have voted for him." |

I agree Moore's argument on Bush's action at the school after he found out are moore-onic, but the most important part of the article is the bold part. I hope she gets an agent and maybe 10 minutes on a morning talk show. Maybe a local parade after that.

Yeah why rush out of the school and mess with the children. I would have continued to read to the children also. Just imagine if you were getting a book read to you by the president then in the middle of it he gets up and leaves and you have no idea why.

In most elementary schools they didnt even tell the kids, I know in my towns elementary schools and in the schools were my mom works they didnt tell the kids what was happening. No reason to panic a bunch of kids who dont even understand what is going on.

the best part of that movie is when he shows charlton giving his speech and he changes cloths in the middle of it because moore doctored the tapes to make it look like he gave a speech in columbine that he actually gave a few months earlier in like new jersey. (first part was the speech in columbine then he cuts out to the other speech without any mention that its cutting out to it with a small clip in between them to make people have time to forget charlton had different cloths on and the backdrop was different.)

In HS they put it on on the TVs in the classrooms, really f*****g surreal thinking back on it, looking and seeing the first plane hit and everyone is talking about how it must have been an accident and no one has any idea wtf is going on and then watching the other one fly in live and smash into the second building, man i will never forget where I was then... scariest shit imo wasnt the planes hitting, i mean that was bad but watching the huge dust clouds go up when they collapsed was like watching independence day when the space ship blew up new york and the huge wall of fire went through the city.
I can see why they wouldnt put it on for younger kids, in middle school still alot of the kids arent old enough to understand and they would worry way way to much and get hysterical.. most of the older kids could understand but like here we have 5th graders in middle school and I doubt they would.

Man we had girls just broken down crying in the halls of my university that day. Girl came into my spanish class and told us all, teacher immediately cancelled class and told us to get in touch with love ones immediately. I called work and was told the owners told everyone to go home and had all their project managers close all their sales offices. I listened to the coverage on the radio and while driving home as fast as I could, must of passed like 3-4 cops, none of which stoped me, everything about that day still seems so surreal.
Oh and nothing more really needs to be said about Faren-lie 9/11 that hasn't been said in that wonderful piece on slate.

I knew it was bad when my dad was in the car when my mom picked me up. I remember it like it was yesterday i said "Dad, You going to be deployed or something?" He said "No, Some Terrorists Hijacked planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center in New York." I responded with "Holy Shit"
I then spent the rest of the day on here learning alot about it and watching TV. f*****g p****d me off that the damn principal had the nerve to not let us f*****g 8th graders watch it. I thought it was a damn Cessna or something that hit the Tower.

I wonder if this "documentary" will backfire. It may just remind people of Bush's reactions to 9/11 and rebolster his support.

Help. This thread is turning into a "where were you when it happened" thread.
"I was at the mall when someone ran into the food court and told everyone it happened..."
"I had just finished playing 3 hours of nintendo, and when I turned it back to regular tv I saw that it happened..."
"I had been watching TV all night, because as a jobless american that is what I do, when they interrupted The Price Is Right to tell us it happened..."
The only thing worse than conversations like these are when people tell you how weird their dream was last night. Really? It was weird? That's odd. Most dreams aren't strange. Tell me more...

We already know that won't happen based on the reactions by those who have seen it.
Also, today Moore went on record saying he has never publically endorsed Kerry and isn't a Democrat, he's independent. There won't be any backlash coming Kerry's way.

The thing about Moore is, he sort of has this weird vision of utopia or something where factory workers make millions, where anyone in government is suppose to be perfect individuals and he knows what is wrong, but can't tell you what is right.
For example, Moore blames Columbine on the american gun culture, but the investigators determinded that it was mostly to get media attention, something Mr. Moore knows a bit about.

I just got done feeding my brother to a wood chipper and had begun the cleaning process when someone left an urgent message on my Skytel pager. They told me, in grim detail, what had transpired and... I couldn't control myself.

I think this is one of the most petty and stupid things to make a point about. There IS no point. I know when I turned on the TV that morning and saw it I literally sat down where I was standing and sat dumbounded for .. I don't know how long.. Everyone deals with shocking news differently I mean WTF ... It just shows what a petty man Moore is.
