I was checking out Tigerdirect.com and looking at a couple of the barebones systems (mostly just the Soyo ones, for no particular reason..) But my question is how can they sell the cases with motherboards in them for about $40, when a lot of cases sell for that much? Is there something wrong with these barebones deals, are they refurbished or something?
Yes i realize that you don't get a hd or anything like that with them, just seemed odd, since the cases cost that much and motherboards are generally a lot more expensive.
Here is the link. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_tlc.asp?CatId=31
Appreciate the help

I'd guess that they're clearing out moderately old stock that may not sell at all otherwise. Note that the price includes anywhere from two to five or more rebates, which you will not get unless you're incredibly persistent, and pay a fair amount of money (certified mail, long distance phone calls) and time to pursue, since the rebate companies make their profit by not paying the rebates unless they're absolutely forced to.
