alright..ive been looking threw countless books and I cant find it =/ (no surprise)..but uhh..what makes your farts smell so fookin bad =/..I know it matters on what you eat and I know how it is created..but the smell..I just have to know =(

The odor of farts come from small amounts of hydrogen sulfide gas and mercaptans in the mixture. Those have sulfur. How the f**k is this anatomy?

well he wants to ask what makes some smell and some not? why is the amount of hydrogen sulfide vary? sometimes you can rip a huge one and it doesnt smell, but then a little one blows up the whole room.
wtf
also: i've heard that things like yogurt and sour cream can help to reduce the amount of gas you produce... anyone have proof?

Also here's a strange fact someone told me once. I dunno how much truth is in it, but I believed it. If your turds are floaters, then they contain a higher percentage of methane than usual, and this is usually when you can light your farts on fire. So if you got floaters, bust out your zippo, and you can amaze your friends and singe your ass hairs! Woohoo!

It's the bacteria in your digestive tract. They feed on the stuff in your colon...either the poop, or they convert the food into poop, and excrete methane gas. The gas then builds up until it needs to be expelled, or farted.

actually i recall seeing this on a show somewhere.
methane decays really fast in the atmosphere and it is the methane decaying which you smell. which is why it goes away relatively fast, and why some smell worse than others or linger longer (based on the amount of methane in the phart heh).
either that or i'm totally wrong and took to many drugs that day. probably the latter.
