Free, for a year... as long as your don't want expansions and/or mind your account being subject to termination cuase they feel its too expensive!
This reminds me of the deal I had to make with Dunn on the 'Pay for Play, Anal Style' Website!

I actually enjoyed AO on the second release. It was a fun game. The only problem was that so many people were jaded by the inital release they never tried it again so population was sparse =(

AO was a kick ass game.
If it was designed the way WoW is designed, I would have definitely played AO. But since WoW is out... yeah...
Edit: Umm... anyone have a fast link to the file? The downloader isn't working and bittorrent isn't working too well... 1kbps download and uploading at 20.

I loved it.
It pwned eq in every way when i first started playing.
then the lag, and the crashing, and the technical problems....
so you're right, i never went back.

lag, technical problems, roll back, net code that was worse than eq...
hard to remember release, because that's all i played. but those big, easy to come by fire damage guns owned. when it actually didn't taKe 30 minutes to leave a city, getting those solo instances was awesome =p
