No my brother you are not alone. Let me introduce myself, I am the proud owner of a patching problem. And it is not just that. I had problems with opening an account for Anarchy Online and my monthly updates are slow as hell. I also think that there is not one bug that was active online that missed my computer and on the top of it all, my credit card was refused, even it had sufficient funds on it, when I tried to pay a subscription for a whole year. Now what do you have to say about that? Nothing, I did think so, but I wanted to hear from you.
