Hello, everyone. I've been reading a little about Anarchy Online, and frankly I was amazed to find that it has managed to survive and maintain a clientele for so long. What is it, five and a half years since the original release? How do they do that?
I'm not a player myself, so I had to turn to you guys for info. So, what is it that keeps you around, and how do you estimate the future of AO regarding survival in the narrowing market. Thanks in advance for your input.

Well, actually, I wouldn't say the competition has been that tough. Since 2001, how many MMO RPGs have been set in a Sci-Fi environment, not counting the SW brand? Not many. How many have been any good? Even fewer. So, the simple answers to your questions would be – AO survives because it does something that all the WoW and GW s of the world don't, and more importantly because it does it well. As for how long it can survive – as long as the demand is there, I suppose.
