Have you tried all options for download? There is a torrent download, but also there are http mirrors. If every of them fails, it might be that your hdd is dying. Of course, if everything else works ok, this is not likely to be. At the end, you could borrow an installation from some friend, couldnt you?

I had some problems patching my AO to latest version. After a day or two of struggling, I decided to redownload the entire game, and try installing it again. However, something very strange happens my downloads are always corrupt. I am really desperate, I dont know what to do any more.
