How can I read damage ratings of combat in EVE? Preferably the offline calculator is good. I want to know how much damage my weapons are inflecting on other ships. Is there a formula or something similar to calculate the damage rating? I am sometimes afraid that the damage I cause will not be adequate to hurt the targeted ship. Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a formula to calculate your weapons damage ratings in combats in Eve Online, but it can be confusing sometimes to some of the players. If you want the damage to cause less than 1000 points, there are two options. For normal hits you calculate the damage ratings if you add together basic weapon damage, attack ratings and damage bonuses. For critical hits, the formula is the same, but you always calculate the maximum hit damage. The confusing part starts if you want to cause more than 1000 points. It is hard to explain, so I will not do this time.
