Well, here's what I think about the topic... Below are a few of my favorites from each country...
-American-
America makes the best cars for Drag racing, most American cars are Torque Monsters....
Ford Mustang
Ford GT
Dodge Viper
Dodge Charger
Plymouth Hemi Cuda
Plymouth Challenger
Saleen S7
(All old school muscle cars, but hey they're still awesome in my opinion...)
-Japaneses-
Japan makes a lot of cars that people use for events like Drifting and Rally Racing where it involves more than just a fast car.
Nissan Skyline
Nissan 350z
Nissan 240sx
Nissan Silvia
Toyota Supra
Toyota Celica
Subaru WRX STI
Mitsubishi Eclipse
Mitsubishi Evo X
(Japan produces some of the fastest Tuners that are used for Drifting...)
-European-
Europe is known for it's extremely fast street legal cars and circuit racing.
BMW M5
Lamborghini Diablo
Ferrari 360 Modena
Bugatti
Koenigsegg CCX
Pagani Zonda F
Bugatti Veyrom
McLaren F1
(Europe produces the world's fastest street legal cars on earth...)

European cars are build with alot more passion and most of them are awesome cars like Lamborghini, V.W, ford ect....but american classic cars can last forever and most are build with thick metals - but guzzel alot of fuel down like a 4x4

I'm a big fan of Japanese cars. I especially love Acura. I have an Integra right now but I'm fixing up an NSX.

To be honest from my experience... foreign cars seem to be a lot better quality for your everyday average car.

From an economic stand point, I definitely recommend domestic cars. Repairs cost a fortune for imports

go for a hybrid, good for fuel and it goes up tp 50 miles to the gallon! I went from saint louis arizona on $90!

As a European myself and growing up in the motor industry.
The main problem with US cars is there build quality firstly.
Secondly there fuel efficacy is awful big engines poorly tuned.
Also there steering & braking is extremely poor compared to other cars.
Jap cars offer decent value great build quality decent perform & good fuel efficacy.
Eu cars fall into to sections the Germans & every1 else German cars are simply the overall best cars in the world.
Even though us cars have the biggest engine they are offen beaten in a stright line by less powerful eu or jap cars simple due to there higher power to weight ratio.

I think European cars are way better than american. Don't get me wrong, i love a mustang, but you just cant beat a Ferrari or a Bugatti Veyron.
