So as I understand, out characters in WAR will visually change and grow old as they progress up the level (or up the guild rank, whichever is faster), right? Now while I do like this system in general and think it's original enough to appeal to a large crowd, I'm not so sure about the implementation For instance, what happens when you hit the cap, are you stuck looking old like everyone else is?

I don't know, but smart money would be on "no". I expect aging changes to be slight modifications of your facial expression and general appearance, nothing big, and nothing that would make all characters look alike. That would work against the original point of character customization, and is totally counterintuitive.
