Went into a squill cave with about, well, to be honest I dunno how many people. There were so many pets in the group my screen had ham bars everywhere.
Anyway, we worked our way down and killed everything, then on our way out killed everything. Then we went to the top of the hill and killed something like 40 or 50 giant angry rats in about 2 minutes. I got like 400 scouting xp per squill and 420 or so per rat.
The commandos were neat to group with. Nothing like seeing 3000 damage per flamethrower thing. Made my "Screaming Squill" unarmed attack of 42 damage look a little weak. Just a little.
Aside from the big numbers...

What annoys me is, like DAOC, aggro. It seems poorly defined. Actually.. it's not poorly defined. It's just lame. There seem to be 2 versions of aggro:
1) Proximity. If you do 90% of a mobs HAM in damage and yet someone else taps it on the nose with a sucker punch, that person has full aggro (if they are closer).
2) Till death do us part. Some mobs cannot be peeled off you for any reason by anyone.
Without clear aggro rules and control, there really is no player choice. Two of the things 'fun' boils down to is choice of options and control over your environment.
I've re-read the skills tree about 400 times and the only option similar to the 'taunt' skill in EQ is called "rescue." Only rangers can do it. But that opens up a whole different topic: tanking in SWG.

My experience such far: something wants you, you're screwed...run around in circles and let the ranged fighters kill it :p
Game has some ways to go before some sort of balancing comes into play...took EQ some time.
By the way, anyone know how to get group looting to fekking work? Each time I'm grouped, even with a pet, we can't loot shit until we disband. I noticed that alpha looting is set by default, but even turning it off doesn't do jack. Bascially, I just want open looting for the group.

Hi Thenger,
I keep expecting to be able to go somewhere new or do something different. So far every new place I go to is at beast a cave full of monkeys (or Tuskans).
Still haven't seen a Dark Jedi Master or a light saber at all. I wouldn't really expect to, either. Might go running around Lok or something and try to find one.

Hey All,
I did go to Endor maybe two weeks ago, wanted to go explore the planet and guess what out of like 4 hours there I ran into what 6 mobs tottal. Later I found out that Endor was bugged that the random creatures were not working right after Bria crashed one night. Very cool looking world but just boren as hell.
Oh I have seen a couple Dark Jedi Masters and some Dark Adebts, but make sure to have a nice well experianced group if you want to take them out. The 30k HAM & 20K HAM they have isn't the coolest thing in the world. And mind you their loot does suck a*s. I have a lightsaber, one of the old broken ones, just for s***s and giggles.
Besides that their isn't much really to do. Explore or make money... Not much else. As for PvP, not really in the mood to go up against AT-ST pets that can blow me up one in shot even with full composite armor and a Mk.3.
