Will Age of Conan give WoW a run for its money? I think it will and that Blizzard must do something if they want to stay close to AoC. I do not believe how anybody can make such good games. Both of these two are amazing, but AoC will be much better than World of Warcraft. I am hoping for this, because it will be good for the industry. Only that way, developers will publish great games.

You are correct with this. Age of Conan will be the next great game, and WoW should we careful now. Very few titles can endanger the Blizzards throne. I think both games will have millions of gamers, and that passionate players will wage war against each other. It will be good for everybody, because that way, games will not lose any attraction. Blizzard should be very careful when AoC comes online, because they might lose several thousands of gamers. They will be forced to take some radical turns if they want to be the best. Age of Conan will give them a long run for the money, and I will like that situation.

I really dont think age of conan is going to give wow a run for its money for a long time. Until they can fix all the bugs that ruin the game, it will be a long time. Plus wow is still standing good now.

Everyone has to realize something, Age of Conan is the MOST STABLE release for an mmo in years... When WoW first released it was WORSE than now when AoC released.... WoW is only better at the moment cause they have had years to fix the bugs and make an extremely stable game, but just wait, WoW will run out of steam sooner or later and who will follow in it's footsteps and retain the MMO legacy... that game would be AoC....

As far as server stability goes AoC does pretty good, but as far as the game itself INSIDE does, AoC doesn't do that well. Some parts of the game feel either missing or rushed, and while bugs arent that bad at low levels, they get worse at higher levels.
The game is still nice, and it will affect WoW somewhat. But in the end both games are too different to be compared directly anyway.

I really dont think age of conan has a chance blizzard is too well advertised and they have created such a great game.

Age of Conan had the chance to give WoW a run for it's money. It failed and instead has left an empty void that players need to fill with the next big game.
If anything AoC has simply helped WAR sell more copies, as people are still looking for a new game to satisfy their needs since AoC failed to do so.

Funcom timed the release well and made good money out of a half-completed game. I'm playing for a while more to see what will happen, but I also believe that AoC will give WoW a run for the money. Playing on EU servers, I noticed that the servers got emptier. With Warhammer coming, the competition will get more fierce, and consumers will benefit, the WoW monopoly in the mmorpg market will end.

With wotk going beta soon - i'm not sure it will.
WOTK king looks to hopefully be fixing many issues - and bringing a few more fun elements like destructable terrain, etc.
AND everyone can cun it on their PC ;D
