Age of Conan is the best game so far in my online games world and I think that this game would be even better if it is in some kind of connection with books that feature Conan. I know it has nothing to do with movie, but I am not sure about books. Age of Conan - Any connection with Conan books?

You are damn right that Age of Conan has nothing to do with so called movie. That movie is a disgrace to movie industry and I certainly don’t thing that the leading role was done good at all. I also dislike the scenery, but I think it was the best they could manage at that time. I would like to see a remake soon, but I don’t know how much realistic my wishes are. In any case, the movie sucks, the game is much better and there are is some connection to the books and I like it very much. I think it was done good and you can see it for yourself once you read the books and play the game.

How does it not?

They are a connected by 1 thing: Robert E. Howard's, Conan the Barbarian himself.

Just set in different times of his life, which was long and extremely eventfull.

He did become King of Aquilonia... But cant expect him to come running when a lowby mob is wupping your arse.

And i'm sure he will play quest driven roles in the end-game parts, and that you will need to aid him in one way or another.

To be quite honest Conan/Hyboria Which is a perfect setting for a MMORPG.

At least for older pre-computer RPGer's

This has nothing to do with how good the movies(there was more then one) where, tho personally for their time i thought they where quite good for the fantasy scene they depicted.

Which is historicly a very difficult genre to capture on film befor the computer age.

It's higly dependent on how old you where and when you first saw the films.

Of course now-a-days they would be considered extreme poor, but you cant really make that sort of comparison.

The game is "heavy" with lore, the FC team even hired a "lore master" to stick with the lore as much as possible, while leaving the game playable/fun,things are looking good from the previews and stuff so far...
