How exactly is this supposed to work, then? The way I understand it, you've got your "normal mage" mode, where you can cast minor spells and such without consequences (or with?) and then you've got "spellweaving mode", where you go into trance or something, and then combine your spells to … do what exactly? Increase damage, improve existing effect, do something entirely new, or what?

Basically, to put your other spells together behind one of the spells you cast first, thus making it more powerful. Check out this link:
