How are they handling character death in Age of Conan? If I remember the comic books, the movies, and the short stories correctly, death was pretty much final, there were no Raise Dead spells or anything like that. I know the designers are trying to stick to the lore as hard as possible, but is it possible here? Because I've yet to see a MMORPG without resurrections.

And you'll keep waiting. Age of Conan does indeed have resurrections and multiple respawn points, as shown recently at GenCon 07. After dying, you won't suffer an experience point penalty, but you will take a "death toll" thing, reducing your combat skills for a short while.
