Sorry if this is already answered in an FAQ somewhere, but I'm still sort of new to this game. What I want to ask is, how important will the crafting skills be in AoC? Will the experience and money you gain from crafting be the equal (or at least close to that) of the XP and $$$ you gain from adventuring (killing people and things, finishing quests, etc.)? Thanks!

But to answer your question more directly: no, sorry, you won't be able to get by doing nothing but crafting. The main business is the mob-killing, crafting is not even a close second to that.
